Paleo Diet
I recently took part in a podcast debate about the merits of the Paleo diet. The show was hosted by Randy Shore, who shared his personal insights and experience with food and dieting, as well as St. Paul’s dietician Sinead Feeney providing her more conventional perspective.
It was a good opportunity to introduce more people to the concepts behind the Paleo diet without the typical labelling as a “fad” and instead giving it the serious merit it deserves. I find when people truly learn about the deeply scientific nature of the diet, it becomes more than a diet: it becomes somewhat of an instruction manual for your body and life.
All in all it was a good discussion. Hopefully we can do another in the near future where I can get into much more detail about the specifics of the evolution-based philosophy of the Paleo diet.
